Terrie heard Kaden s promise, making her wonder what
Kaden knew and wasn t telling her.
Terrie s gaze moved to the woman. She didn t like the way
the woman was staring at Kaden, nor the sinister smile on her face.
The woman whispered something into Vermont s ear, and he gave
her a nod. She moved back and leant on the helicopter s side,
waiting for Vermont to finish his piece.

longer make offers on your property. He turned and walked back
to the helicopter.
I see you and the missus are tight, Daniel said with a smarmy
smirk. Pity. When I had her she was totally frigid.
Terrie must have blinked because Kaden shifted so damned
fast, she didn t even see him move. Daniel surely didn t know
what had hit him, he was just suddenly flying backwards and hitting
his back against the side door of the helicopter with a heavy thud.
Vermont was stunned for a moment too, but the woman actually
grinned down wickedly at Daniel. It was clear she thought the
whole thing amusing.
You are fortunate I don t kill you. Kaden advanced on the
now fearful-looking Daniel. Blood dribbled from his nose and a
split lip.
Anyone who insults my woman will pay. Leave now before I
give in to my instincts and tear you to pieces.
The men who had gathered to watch the proceedings
suddenly cheered and whistled at Kaden as he turned and walked
away. Terrie blinked up at Kaden as he grabbed her around the
waist and crushed her against his hard length, kissing her to
breathlessness.
Let s go have breakfast. There s work to do today.
